01/07/2013 This has been a fantastic day for the build. The crew were able to dedicate the day to putting the first floor onto the basement. All floor trusses for the round and the pop-out, plus all the first layer of 5/8 decking. Wow, what a difference that one day made! Still not sure of the next date the crew can get together for further work, but thankful that we are are seeing a real difference.

ReplyDeleteThanks for the comments. We're building a Monterey with Net Zero modifications. Raised heal trusses, 10 inch walls, Marvin Integrity windows, and Dense Pack insulation. Because of our Geothermal system, we are foregoing the supplemental solar hot water, and the solar electric panels will have to wait a few years.
